The operating room RN is responsible and accountable for providing and directing individualized care on assigned operating room patients utilizing the nursing process and established standards of care. This requires assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients through clinical knowledge and skills. Assembles appropriate supplies, drapes, instruments, equipment, and sutures for the surgical procedure. Will have the knowledge and experience to perform circulating duties. Has the understanding and ability to apply principles of surgical asepsis and patient safety. Is able to facilitate the smooth progression of operative procedures and promote teamwork with physicians and personnel. Will treat all customers with actions that contribute to high levels of customer service. **This description not all-inclusive of the duties that may be assigned**
