The primary mission of Energy Services is to provide limited income families with the services and assistance necessary to prevent and or alleviate energy-related emergencies from occurring, while promoting initiatives that result in a family’s long-term self-sufficiency.
Energy Services is seeking qualified applicants for multiple Customer Care and Eligibility Specialist positions for our office located in Madison, WI. Potential employees should have an outgoing personality, passion for working with limited and low income households, excellent customer service, and strong attention to detail. Basic math and computer skills are required as well as the ability to effectively communicate via phone. The duties of this position will be to process applications for fixed income customers to establish the eligibility for energy assistance. Experience working in a non-profit setting is a plus. Bi-lingual (Spanish or Hmong) language skills earn an additional dollar per hour. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00; during heating season (approx 8 months) hours extended to 6:00 on Tuesday and Thursday.
