This position is responsible for assisting the Investor Relations team with developing materials used in investor communications, monitoring and assessing trends and developments with the industry, and tracking peer company disclosures and ownership of the organization’s stock.
Position involves frequent interaction with Executive management team, requires the ability to problem-solve and grasp issues quickly, a strong financial and analytical background, strategic thinking, the ability to work independently and exceptional verbal and written communication skills (with an ability to boil down complex scenarios to understandable and effective messages). This is a visible and at times, very quick-paced role that requires flexibility to react quickly as events change, responsiveness and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and preparation of executive presentation materials (including quarterly earnings calls, analyst meetings and other investor meetings) and updates to the Board of Directors on investor related matters. This includes power point presentations and the development of charts, graphs and other summaries.
Closely monitor key trends/events in the utility industry and summarize them for Executive Management.
Track and analyze stock ownership trends for both the organization and its peer utilities; assist in the development of investor targeting opportunities.
Respond to requests for information on a timely basis.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key individuals within the organization, knowing where to go to obtain needed information/data and staying updated on key company-related events.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification (or working toward certification)
Experience in regulated utility finance/ accounting
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated analytical/problem solving skills and strong business acumen
Demonstrated information technology skills: Proficient skills in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint; Experience creating power point slides that use charts and graphs
