Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical equipment used in patient care. Your expertise in sterile processing and adherence to aseptic techniques will contribute to the overall quality of patient care in our facility. Responsibilities: - Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment - Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols - Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor - Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners - Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies - Adhere to infection control policies and procedures - Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies
Requirements: -
High school diploma or equivalent -
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred -
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices - Familiarity with different types of sterilization equipment and their operation - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
