The HR and Finance Assistant will work in collaboration with the corporate team to support the daily functions of human resources and the finance team regarding invoicing and collections. This individual will need to have a high degree of independence and the ability to work with confidential information.
Minimal Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, helpful.
- 1-2 years’ human resource or payroll experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using ERP and MRP systems preferred.
- Detail-oriented with good organization skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Work with a high degree of confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare all customer invoices and transmit invoices with relevant supporting documentation to customers for payment.
- Manage customer collections and makes collection calls to customers when appropriate.
- Assist with customer sales tax documentation and other relevant customer data.
· Conduct orientation for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining signatures for documents.
· Serve as a reliable source of information for employees, promptly answering questions regarding payroll and benefits.
- Review and process weekly timesheets. Work closely with payroll administrator.
- Support recruiting efforts by working with designated temp agencies and collaborating with hiring managers and corporate HR.
- Report injuries to corporate HR and maintain communication regarding injury care.
- Maybe required to attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Support onsite operations as assigned by the Maine Plant Manager.
Physical Requirements
Active position, spend up to 10% of the day on the production floor.
Ability to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer kiosk.
Ability to walk for short periods of time to visit other buildings on campus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
