About the Finance Department:
The Finance Department at Magna Health Systems currently consists of a dedicated team of two, in addition to the Controller. Established in 2018, the team handles day-to-day tasks and prepares information for finalization and approval by the Controller.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Controller/Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Company’s Board, owners, and executive team to ensure the effective financial management and operational success of Magna Health Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate month-end close process to ensure monthly and year-end financial close is on time and accurate; conduct variance analysis and finance review meetings with the Board of Directors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and features to enhance the workflow, accuracy, and timeliness of the accounting department.
- Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights into the company's financial profitability, identifying areas for improvement, revenue growth, and cost efficiency. Including but not limited to overseeing cashflow and capital expenditures.
- Work closely with the organization managers and the reimbursement group to enhance collections and provide guidance on cost control measures and budgeting.
- Manage relationships with CPA firms and banking institutions; provide financial data and reporting as needed.
- Manage the Treasury Function, including lines of credit, bank balances, loan payments, covenant requirements, and bank audits.
- In coordination with the Executive Team, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.
- Work with the Executive Team to prepare and present financial data to potential investors.
- Function as the administrator for the 401K and Payroll Systems.
- Supervise the accounting department, ensuring proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions and maintain internal controls and work towards continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- CPA is required; BS in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA highly desirable.
- 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in Health Care.
- Strong computer skills with expert proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and Excel. Experience in practice management software, QuickBooks. Experience with Surgi-Source (SIS), SIS-Complete, and Advanced desired but not required for the position.
