Overview: Support the Human Resources department shared services in developing, deploying and continuously improving a wide variety of Human Resources initiatives and programs throughout the workforce to meet and exceed business objectives, while driving functional excellence. Specific responsibilities include benefit management, compensation systems, HRIS administrator and payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
- Support the company’s management to continuously improve its operations and bottom-line by implementing best practices in human resources. May also identify and recommend programs/processes to improve efficiently and productivity.
- Provide support to a range of HR programs within client groups
- Provide project support when required on HR and cross-functional projects within the client group
- Coordinates implementation of services, policies, people strategies, and programs.
- Work effectively and efficiently -- both independently and in a team environment.
- Possess and apply knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, and wage and hour issues.
- Proactive approach to employee relation's issues by developing trust with employees at all levels of the organization and through administering consistent and sound HR practices.
- Provide benefit offering support
- Administer and manage the payroll function
- Demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
- Understand business processes and their relationship to the organization.
- Serve as contact for client groups and management team in HR related matters
- Partner Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Department on company-wide initiatives and support HSE systems and processes
- Manage on-boarding, medical and disability benefits, 401k, long and short term incentive plans and policy development/implementation
- Monitor and ensure management and sites are in compliance EEO, Unemployment, Wage & Hour, Worker's Compensation, ADA, and all applicable standards and regulations.
- Complete audits as required.
- Keep up-to-date and communicate labor law changes and changes in States and Federal Laws.
Skills/Tools
- Knowledge of US labor laws in HR related subject matter including: recruitment & selection, workers compensation, disability management, compensation, benefits & data privacy
- Strong communication skills -- written and verbal.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead, and coach individuals and teams
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office application and other technology.
Education/Experience:
- Completion of an degree in Business, Human Resources or Related Field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- HRMS experience desired (UKG Pro specifically)
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Ability to use analytical decision making
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent time management, organizational and detail skills
- Ability to work in a diverse fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, including clear and comprehensible assistance to customers and other team members and detailed process documentation.
