The Position:
Performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, production equipment, and other building systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using building’s blueprints, maintenance plans, or equipment manuals as needed including PM scheduling and implementation.
- Assists in long term maintenance and repair forecasting and budgets.
- Completes necessary training and outsources assistance in completion of tasks as authorized.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Orders and inventories supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains maintenance documentation and basic documentation including work times.
- Keeps work areas free of debris and organized.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Moderate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to prioritize.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of construction, welding, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience working individually and as part of a team working towards a common goal.
- 3+ years in maintenance.
- Maintenance experience in production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
