We are looking for a full-time, long-term applicant that is looking for a career in manufacturing. The Assembler position is responsible for building and assembling Hogue Knives products that meet specifications in functionality, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assemble knives from a list of components using hand tools and fixtures.
- Performs fittings and alignments to ensure free action of moveable parts.
- Assembler will perform a cosmetic inspection of the components as they are being assembled, to ensure a high-quality standard.
- Once inspected, the Assembler tests the knife to ensure functionality.
- Assemblers will have to meet production and quality goals, and communicate issues immediately to their lead or process technicians if an issue is to arise.
- Complete required documentation
- Cross- train at various assembly functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area
- Must be quality oriented.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must have good manual dexterity and ability to handle and assemble small parts.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to troubleshoot assembly problems.
- Must be able to meet fast paced production rates.
- Must demonstrate ability to exercise good judgment in performing subjective inspections such as cosmetic criteria and determining knife functionality (smooth opening, detent force, blade stability)
- Must be able to understand and follow written/oral instruction in English.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Pass Medical physical and drug pre-employment screening.
- Cleared Federal Criminal Background Check; our business maintains an ATF permit.
- Documents for eligibility to work in the United States must be presented upon hire
