- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred
- Experience working as an electrical technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Technical military specialties considered
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret industrial documents and electrical drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, level controls, AC/DC drives, VFD
- Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA,
- Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills
- Ability to identify the need for repair/rebuild industrial machinery such as motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, etc.
- Knowledge of CMMS, SAP, MS programs
- Demonstrated ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter)
- Awareness of fluid motion systems, HVAC systems, dust collection systems, robotics, metering systems, etc.
- Inter-Personnel Skills – Including the ability to be a team The ability to pass on information & training to others
- Understanding of OSHA and industrial safety protocols
- Safety certifications
- Ability to operate mobile equipment safely
Working Conditions:
- Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.
- Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside
- Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
- Noise of industrial machinery
- Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required
- Days/shift vary based on facility need
- Fast paced 24/7 operation
