Southern Foodservice Management, Inc., a national contract food service provider, is looking to hire a talented and motivated Catering/Starbucks Manager for our dining facility at DIA Café Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling location in Washington, DC 20032.
We are looking for a professional who will deliver excellent customer service and quality food in every product we offer. You should be committed to providing the best possible dining experience for the team members.
You will be responsible for helping run the day-to-day catering and beverage operations, you will have to greet and answer customers’ questions regarding ingredients and recipes. You must be organized and work efficiently to provide our clients with seamless service during meetings and events. Attention to detail is a must, you should have a lot of energy and be able to communicate effectively.
The work week is Monday – Friday and the scheduled hours range between 5:00am - 5:00pm.
The salary is $60,000.00 per year, plus bonus.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass extensive background check.
- 2 plus years of catering, cooking or restaurant experience.
- Starbucks experience a plus.
- Experience setting up event buffets on- site and off-site.
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Be energetic and enthusiastic.
- Be customer service oriented.
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Code, Sanitation and Safety Procedures.
- Full understanding of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Current ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a quality dining atmosphere.
- Be able to handle guest complaints/requests quickly.
- Monitor the quality of the product and service provided.
- Gather event requirements to ensure needs are met.
- Manage stock and place orders as needed.
- Maintain proper sanitation control.
- Set a good example for staff through appearance in uniform and work ethic.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
