Job Overview
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Spa to ensure Spa guests have an extraordinary experience. The Spa Attendant handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Essential Job Functions:

- Maintain thorough knowledge of and adherence to all procedures, protocols, and standards of Hotel and Spa.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and skills in all spa services, tools, equipment, and products offered.
- Effectively inquire, assess, inform, explain, educate and provide treatment addressing guest/client specific needs and concerns, and, when applicable, the contraindications restricting or preventing treatment.
- Effectively advocate to spa guest/client additional services and products of interest or benefit to them.
- Participate in and successfully complete all training, education, and certifications required by spa.
- Collaborate, cooperate, and contribute to the success of all spa personnel and operations and effectively perform all tasks requested or assigned by management.
- Creates and fosters a positive and professional atmosphere for Spa guests by maintaining a clean environment throughout the facility. This includes, reception area, locker rooms, hallways, restrooms, treatment rooms, steam/sauna areas and relaxation rooms.
- Maintains a deep knowledge of spa-specific standards, services, products and promotions.
- Familiarizes guests with the spa facility and locker room areas.
- Consults with spa guests to determine needs and expectations, including offering refreshments.
- Ensures the facility remains in compliance with local health/sanitation codes and regulations at all times.
- Ensures linen closets are clean, organized and stocked.
- Ensures all guest supplies are stocked and available according to established standards.
- Ensures all therapist/aesthetician supplies are stocked and available at all times.
- Complies with all Work Rules, Safety Standards and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Qualifications/Skills:

Desirable:
1. High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.
2. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
3. One to two years in a similar role in a hospitality environment. Deep knowledge of local goods and services in critical, along with established vendor contacts.
Essential Physical Abilities:
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, extending arms overhead, bending and stooping.
- Mobility: 50% of the shift will require walking around the spa.
- Continuous Standing: 50% of the stand while performing various tasks.
- Environment Physical Job Requirement: Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy.
- One-on-one communication with guest, managers and fellow employees.
- Must be able to observe conditions in the Spa. Must be able to see how the guest is responding to the environment (e.g. steam rooms, etc.) for safety reasons.
- Must be able to read material.
- May require using a wide variety of cosmetics material used during treatments.
- Gloves may be used when cleaning.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in writing to guests, vendors and fellow employees.
