Hours:
Monday - Thursday 10am - 6pm
Friday - 8am - 4pm
Weekends are required from time to time

The receptionist will use a HIPAA-compliant Google Workspace calendar to schedule appointments.
The receptionist will be expected to provide light administrative support to 50+ counselors on an as-needed basis.
The receptionist will handle a high call volume while logging calls.
The receptionist will from time to time be asked to work on research projects and provide a number of clerical duties as time allows.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how google sheets (or excel), google docs (or Microsoft word) works.

The primary responsibility of the role involves assisting patients who call in, seeking guidance in selecting a therapist. Receptionists play a crucial role in facilitating informed decisions by guiding patients through our website and services. Their duties encompass initiating contact with potential clients, scheduling initial appointments with therapists, and sending standard emails to both therapists and patients upon the patient's decision. Subsequent scheduling tasks are handled by therapists. It is essential for receptionists to meticulously document their interactions on spreadsheets to ensure seamless communication within the reception team. Precision and accuracy are paramount in this aspect. Receptionists serve as the frontline support for individuals seeking assistance, often fielding calls from distressed patients. While they are not clinicians and do not provide clinical advice, they play a pivotal role in guiding patients towards seeking help confidently and decisively. Thorough training will be provided for this position.
Qualifications
A minimum of one year of solid assistant experience in mental health or medical is preferred.
Ability to comprehend and communicate; excellent oral and written communication.
Must be able to communicate with a diverse population; must be self-motivated, extremely organized, and have good planning abilities.
The assistant will need to differentiate when the caller is in a state of crisis and refer them out to crisis support. Training will be provided.
The assistant must have a working environment free from noise and all distractions.
The assistant must have a working environment that will meet all HIPAA guidelines. Which includes a secure workspace, where you can work without interruption, a secure device that is protected by a password, and a secure private internet network to name a few. The assistant will receive HIPAA training prior to training.
