We are in search of the perfect candidate for our premier substance treatment center!
SEE Purpose offers a spectrum of care levels, including sub-acute detox, residential inpatient treatment, and aftercare planning for individuals with dual diagnosis facing substance use disorders and concurrent mental health challenges.
Therapists hired for this position must be proficient in group therapy, individual counseling, and punctual documentation. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic environment committed to client-focused care. Therapists at our center are self-driven with a strong commitment to helping clients overcome trauma, understand the ramifications of untreated mental health issues, and break free from the repetitive patterns of behavior stemming from substance abuse.
Therapists in this role manage a small caseload (typically 6-7 clients) and demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues and supervisors. They engage frequently with clients, leading group and individual sessions, and family interventions. They are adept at handling various situations requiring crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and various therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains clinical responsibility for the therapeutic treatment of clients
- Up to date and timely documentation
- Provides intake assessment and treatment planning,
- Provides Individual, group and family therapy sessions.
- Participates in peer consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education.
- Works with Clinical Director and other clinicians in program development
- Collaborate with multi disciplinary treatment team
- Assists in running family support meetings
All of our clinicians are trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and mindfulness techniques.
Education
Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, social work or a related behavioral/mental health field from an accredited college or university.
Licensure required. Examples of eligible licenses include LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, etc.
Must maintain a current and valid license/associate number to practice as a therapist in the State of Indiana and CPR certification.
Experience
Experience working in addictions treatment and/or with dually diagnosed individuals preferred but not required.
Mindfulness training/background, trauma focused treatment and EMDR training preferred but not required.
Additional Benefits

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
