Job Overview
This role is to manage the full sets of accounts for Marco business entities in the US, and to provide professional expertise, supporting the company’s business growth. She/He also needs to work extensively with government agencies to ensure payroll payment and tax compliance. This role will naturally grow to be a senior accountant in 12-18 months.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. In charge of the company’s US entity.
2. Responsible for accounting operations, intercompany activities, reconciliation, monthly management reporting, statutory reporting (both State and Federal), VAT filings (if applicable), corporate tax filing (both State and Federal) and preparation of financial statements.
3. Liaise and co-ordinate with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies.
5. Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes.
Requirement
1. Good degree in Accounting or Finance, with either CA or US CPA certification.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience; full sets of accounting experience are preferred.
3. Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel skills; other systems experience will be preferred and advantageous.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
