Looking for Registered Nurses to provide home infusion services to patients with chronic conditions. RN will provide clinical care in the home setting to patients, as well as education for a range of infusion medications. Most common route of administration is intravenous; however, medications may be given via subcutaneous infusion or injection, intramuscular injection. Delivery of services takes place in patient homes, alternate care settings such as a MD office. All infusion services and medication deliveries are provided in agreement with Sands Rx policies, procedures and therapy-specific protocols, and based on complete orders received from a physician or licensed practitioner. Will comply will all state and federal regulations and laws, OSHA and HIPPA as well as home infusion standards of practice.
RN will serve as a representation of the company in a professional manner when servicing customers.
At the start of care, RN will obtain full medical history and medications, RN will continue to update patients’ documentation at every visit. RN will complete all documentation required by management, will provide updates to the patients care team as needed in a timely manner.
RN to provide comprehensive skilled nursing care to patients of all ages and medical conditions as outline in Plan of Treatment and physician orders. May be responsible for lifting or carrying equipment to the patient’s home.
Administer medications as per prescribed physician orders, will complete assessments per company policy. Will respond to infusion reactions per protocol to manage side effects and notify care team per policy. RN will establish and maintain vascular access, PIV, Port, PICC.
To uphold a comprehensive knowledge of infusion therapies administered in home or MD office following company policies, procedures and protocols.
Will drive personal vehicle for completion of job duties, travel to patient home, MD office or pharmacy.
Pay door to door + Mileage at IRS Rate (65.5) for independent contractors. (RN independent contractor will maintain licensure with no restrictions, maintain active CPR certification and liability insurance).
Positions also available for W2 part time leading to full time hours with benefits.
Qualifications
- 1 year minimum experience working as RN in clinical setting (preferably with past critical care, day surgery, infusion therapy, or pediatric experience or similar setting).
- Must carry own nursing liability insurance (we reimburse 1/2 the cost)
- Able to work independently with autonomy in alternate care settings.
- Eager to work with Care team professionals to provide comprehensive care to patient.
- Effective communication and teaching skills.
- Reliable transportation vehicle for travel.
