Job Overview:
Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to assist with managing and overseeing our skilled nursing department. The ideal candidate will help lead and manage a team of nurses, CNAs, and additional medical team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with all regulations and standards.
Duties overview:
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, orientation/onboarding, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Oversee the implementation of nursing policies and procedures
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Monitor and assess the quality of nursing care provided
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing practices
Qualifications overview:
- Degree in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Proven experience in nurse management within a nursing home, assisted living, or home health setting
- In-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and physiology
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with developing care plans and ensuring their implementation
