We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Technician to help us drive revenue growth and maintain our reputation for exceptional products and services.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks and completing associated documentation in a timely manner.
- Performs work and assists in maintaining operations in compliance with applicable policies and OSHA regulations.
- Follows the Preventive Maintenance Schedule as established by the Maintenance Lead.
- Performs complex repairs correctly (Corrective maintenance) with minimal error or rework.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and communicate effectively to management.
- Ensures that information is complete and accurate; follows up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
- Assist with building/facilities repairs & maintenance duties as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform both uptime and down time preventative maintenance in adherence to the master PM schedule
- Repair and maintain building utilities
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives in order to increase platform performance· Perform additional related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Five (5) years of related training and experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance required.
- Demonstrated intermediate knowledge and experience with maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes. Knowledge of Reiser over wrapper, Vemag depositors, Spiral freezer, refrigeration, pneumatic equipment, control panels, Tomahawk.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing machinery related but not limited to processing and packaging equipment. Reiser Repacks, Vemag Depositors and Tomahawk forming machines.
- General computer skills with a preferred understanding of Microsoft and Inventory parts software.
- Advanced Electrical / Electronic knowledge with an understanding of circuits and switches and Control panels troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic principles, refrigeration and spiral freezers.
- Available to work in a shift role including weekends.
- Food Industry experience.
- English & Spanish
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have the ongoing right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs as required by the position
- Willing and able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work in confined space such as bins, silos, or tanks
- Ability to work at a tobacco-free site, except for designated areas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree in industrial maintenance or related field
- Continuing education in maintenance/technical skills
- Computer Maintenance Management Systems experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
- Hand and power tools
- Measuring tools
- Basic Machine tolls skills
