Job Description
The Plant EHS Manager will:
-
Plan, promote, and follow-up on all phases of the plant safety program and drive the safety culture.

Under the direction of Global EHS, create and develop new methods and strategies to help engage employees in safety culture.
-
Drive and mentor the Safety Committee, communicate action plans, and follow up with action owners.
-
Drive incident investigations and provide corrective and preventive actions to prevent the reoccurrence of the incidents.

Maintain accurate and complete records that meet regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:
-
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
-
Department of Transportation (DOT)
-
Clean Air Act (CAA)
-
Clean Water Act (CWA)
-
Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)
-
Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA)
-
National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
-
All applicable local and state regulatory requirements
-
Develop and conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for different operations, communicate identified risks, and provide solutions, control measures, and action plans for addressing the risks.

Deliver training to the new-hires, employees, and contractors on corporate EHS policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations.

Participate in state and federal OSHA inspections and annual regulatory inspections.

Act as the site contact for Worker’s Compensation issues.

Conduct applicable facility environmental training including: Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC).

Perform site inspections and initiate corrective actions.
The Plant EHS Manager should have:

Ability to work effectively as a team player with multiple departments.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Ability to act as an EHS subject matter expert and utilize approaches that require innovation and technical skills.

Well-developed planning and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize activities, meet commitments, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required
-
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing plant performing Environmental, Health and Safety activities
-
CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification is preferred
-
Able to certify OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training is preferred
Additional Information
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
