TITLE: Director of Clinical Services

BACKGROUND:
The ARC/Morris is dedicated to the care, support and advancement of people with intellectual and related disabilities & their families. Incorporated in 1953 as the Morris County Unit of the New Jersey Parents Group for Children with special needs. The ARC/Morris County Chapter is one of the largest provider of services for
people with I/DD in New Jersey; the organization values and respects family’s needs and overall
Contributions to the pursue of our mission; the organization’s objectives are to find opportunities to achieve the highest level of self-sufficiency, independence, and inclusion possible for people that we serve. The
organization’s leadership has an outstanding track record of providing quality services, outstanding advocacy initiatives, fighting for inclusion and equality for all people with I/DD.

2. Morris Chapter Apartments for Independent Living
3. Access Housing, Inc.,
These non-profit organizations provide housing services through the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Arc/Morris Foundation provides financial support and serves as the development arm of the broader organization. While primarily a service organization, The Arc/Morris takes an active role in advocating for the people they serve on the local, county, state and national levels. The executive staff and the Board of Directors meet and communicate regularly with legislators and government officials to make them aware of important issues that affect the funding, rules and regulations that have a direct impact on their ability to serve consumers.
The Arc/Morris has the distinct reputation as one of the most stable and recognized agencies in Northern New Jersey providing services and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. It is a well- funded agency with a strong bottom line and poised for growth. The ability to maintain financial integrity has been based on a prominent foundation as well as a smooth adaptation to the fee for service in New Jersey.
Leadership will continue to pursue excellence in services by continuously driving innovating strategies that enhances program delivery as well as develop new programs and services that help to enhance ARC/ Morris’s mission towards its key constituencies.
POSITION SUMMARY:
1. Clinical Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and leadership for all clinical departments within the organization, including nursing, and behavioral units.
Provide direct supervision to clinical staff including but not limited to nurses, behavior specialist, board certified behavioral analysist, LMSW, and psychologist.
Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of care for people supported in ArcMorris Programs.
2. Person Centered Care:
Maintain a person-centered approach, emphasizing compassionate care and excellent clinical experiences for people supported in our programs.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including those set forth by government agencies and accrediting bodies.
Collaborate with senior management, and direct care staff to address safety and risk mitigation concerns.
Ensure ongoing review of clinical practices of the organization to ensure they meet highest standards in the industry and make recommendations to the Executive Team if such practices need to be adjusted, reviewed, upgraded.
Ensure that there is ongoing review of clinical needs of people supported and provide training and support to Direct Care Professionals when it comes to clinical needs of people supported including but not limited to therapy, medical care, behavioral management, medication administration and management, and more.
4. Data and Reporting:
Collect and analyze clinical data to inform decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
5. Education and Training:
Support ongoing education and training programs for clinical staff to keep them updated on best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. Ensure that all licensed professionals such as RNs, LPN, BCBAs etc remain up to date on accreditations
Qualifications and Skills
· A master's degree in nursing, social work, healthcare administration, or a related field.
· Active licensure as a registered nurse (RN), board certified behavior analysist and/or relevant clinical certification.
· Seven years of progressive leadership experience in clinical management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
· Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to lead and inspire clinical teams to achieve organizational goals.
· Strong data collection and analysis skills to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
· Ability to provide training and supervision to staff members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
