Position title: Front Desk Greeter
Reports to: Director, Training Center
FLSA status: Non-exempt
Summary: The Front Desk, Greeter, is responsible for supporting the mission of The SpArc Philadelphia family of organizations by providing oversight at the main entrance to the building.
Position Responsibilities
Administrative
1. Ensures that program participants arrive and leave our building in a safe and orderly manner. 2. Acts as liaison with transportation providers by: Calling to inquire about rides for program participants, tracking lost items, finding out why rides are late, etc.
3. Maintains transportation book, including emergency contact information and transportation ID numbers. 4. Ensures the security desk and lobby area are free from clutter and unnecessary materials; projects a positive, professional appearance.
5. Monitors parking lot to ensure safety for program participants and drivers, and ensures the efficient flow of vehicles into and out of the driveway and parking areas.
6. Arranges for security desk coverage at all times.
7. Handles special projects and provides additional administrative support to other departments and assistants.
8. Understands all safety and security procedures.
9. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Customer Service
1. Greets all visitors, in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner, ensuring that they sign in and out, and are given a visitor's pass.
2. Ensures that visitors arrive safely at their destination within the building.
3. Provides excellent customer service at all times.
4. Provides current marketing materials and staff contact information to those who request it. 5. Keeps security desk and lobby area clean and presentable at all times.
6. Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Clear criminal and child abuse history, clear drug screen.
3. Experience with people with disabilities is preferred.
4. Strong customer service skills.
Physical Environment/Working Conditions
Routine office environment. Infrequent independent travel. While performing this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Pay: $15.00 per hour
