The Black Brain Campaign is a non-profit 501c3 organization created to eradicate the stigma against mental health in the Black community by providing a holistic approach to therapy treatment. Our services include free individual and family counseling, training courses for therapists, supervision, and community resources.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Training Coordinator is a critical role within our mental health organization, responsible for developing, organizing, and facilitating training programs for staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders. This position requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of mental health practices and a passion for ensuring continuous professional development. The Training Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of our team members.
Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop training programs, workshops, and educational materials focused on mental health best practices, clinical techniques, and relevant industry trends.
- Tailor training content to meet the specific needs and levels of expertise of different staff members.

- Plan and coordinate training sessions, ensuring they are delivered effectively and meet the desired learning objectives.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including presentations, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises.

- Conduct assessments to identify training needs and gaps in knowledge and skills among staff and clinicians.
- Collaborate with department heads and clinical leaders to prioritize and address training priorities.
- Implement post-training assessments and collect feedback from participants to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Use evaluation data to make improvements and adjustments to future training initiatives.

- Ensure that training programs align with industry regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices in mental health care.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and update training content accordingly.

- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and completion certificates.
- Generate reports to track training participation and outcomes.

- Work closely with department heads, clinical leaders, and external partners to identify training needs and opportunities for collaboration.
- Foster relationships with external experts and trainers to enhance the quality and diversity of training offerings.

- Stay updated on current developments in mental health care, clinical techniques, and evidence-based practices through ongoing education and networking.
- Seek opportunities to enhance personal knowledge and skills related to training and education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or a related field.
-Licensed in in psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs, preferably in a mental health or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of mental health practices, clinical techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in using training software, learning management systems, and other educational technologies.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,400.00 per month
Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
