Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) picking up per diem shifts at Intermountain Health you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality, compassionate and empathetic nursing care to patients and their families Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans according to the established protocols and guidelines of Intermountain Health
- Collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
- Administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patients' vital signs as required
- Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records as required
- Educating patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Adhering to established policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional conduct
Some Requirements from Posting Facilities:
- Minimum 6 months of hospital experience for Med-Surg (preferred) and 1 year hospital experience for ICU and ER.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or a compact state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (ICU RNs)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on facility needs
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to different healthcare facilities within the Grand Junction area
- Additional certifications, such as PALS or NRP, may be required by the facility
Hospital Bonus Information:
- Receive a $300 bonus after you complete orientation
- Receive a $50 when you complete the credentialing process
Referral Bonus Information:
- Receive a $250 bonus when you refer an RN and they work two hospital shifts (orientation and shadow shifts do not count as a worked shift)
- Receive a $100 bonus when you refer a CNA and they work two hospital shifts (orientation and shadow shifts do not count as a worked shift)
- Receive a $50 bonus when your referred friend completes the credentialing process

Travel and Housing Information:
- You will be qualified for mileage reimbursement if you live more than 50 miles from the hospital
- Compensation will range from $0.50-$0.70 per mile
Guaranteed Shifts:
- Clinicians will qualify for guaranteed shifts if you live more than 50 miles away from the hospital
- Guaranteed shifts will range from 3-5 shifts in a row
- Clinicians can be guaranteed 5 shifts in a row if weekends are included
