Reports To: Head Tennis Professional & Pro Shop Manager
Classification: Hourly and Non-Exempt; Full or Part-time available
General Purpose: To assist the Head Professional and Manager in providing a quality shopping experience at
Houston Country Club Tennis Pro Shop. To promote tennis programs and assist with shop sales and maintenance.
Job Specification:

Anticipating & servicing our Members & Guest’s individual needs.

Greet and assist members and guests as they enter the tennis shop.

Manage special orders and invoicing.
-
Assist with buying for a single store location.
-
Monitor and manage inventory levels.
-
Assist with receiving and display of stock apparel and merchandise orders.
-
Assist with development and growth of corporate merchandise sales.
-
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PP is beneficial.

Ensure the shop is ready for operation and remains in good order throughout the day.

Cleanliness and organization of all displays throughout the day is a priority.

Have knowledge of club activities, policies, and hours. Understand club operations to assist members with questions.

Assist the tennis operations team with daily operations at the tennis shop to include Member billing and court reservation management.

Answer all phone calls in a courteous and professional manner, may include tennis operation needs.

Assist with managing traffic in a high paced environment.

Requirements:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the retail industry. Fashion or Retail background is beneficial.

Ability and willingness to work on Holidays and Weekends; up to 3-day work weeks are possible, while longer work weeks may be required from time-to-time during major events.
