The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.

Provides leadership in the development, coordination, and implementation of the Child Care Subsidy program.
- Responsible for the direction and supervision of those assigned to the Child Care Subsidy section.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Provider Accounts Team and the Family Eligibility Team to ensure subsidy services are available for eligible families and services are paid in a timely manner.
- Analyze data and compile weekly metrics on operations of the Child Care Subsidy program.
- Ensure the Child Care Subsidy program operations align with Missouri’s Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) state plan.
- Promote partnership with child care providers and engage child care stakeholders at the local, regional, and state levels.
- Coordinate the Child Care Subsidy program with other sections in the Office of Childhood (e.g., Quality Programs, Child Care Compliance) and other state agencies (e.g., Early Head Start/Head Start, Department of Social Services) to ensure policies and procedures align.
- Present child care subsidy information at national, state, and local meetings.
- Advise office leadership on matters affecting the development and evaluation of child care subsidy programs.
- Serve as backup for the CCDF Administrator.
- Assist with the preparation and review of budget information.
- Assist with the revision and submission of Missouri’s CCDF state plan.
- Assist Program Administrators with the development and implementation of strategic planning, goals, and action steps for child care programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, education, social/human services, or a closely related field, with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
OR
- Five or more years of professional or technical experience in administration, education, human services, or a related field, or other experience that contributes directly to the understanding of activities of this assignment; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
