Description:The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is a part-time role that will provide administrative support to the HR department in various areas such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and safety. The HR assistant will assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs, and will work closely with the HR manager to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in recruiting and hiring processes, including scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment screenings, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee events and programs.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including processing new hire paperwork, preparing orientation materials, and conducting new hire orientations.
- Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes and terminations.
- Assist in maintaining employee records and files, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Support with employee relations, such as answering employee questions and escalating issues to HR team members as needed.
- Assist with performance management processes, including maintaining performance review schedules and tracking completion.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (or degree in progress) in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Basic math and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
- Fluency in English.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in an indoor environment with the occasional need to be outdoors exposed to the elements.
Occasional work outside normal office hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
