Job Description
The Quality Program Manager for External Rankings reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:

Management of the performance improvement program including:
-
Identification and prioritization of regional improvement projects.

Assessment of project requests to ensure appropriate scoping and assignment.

Measurement of the program against stated internal goals including request turnaround, project cycle time and other measures.

Communication of program portfolio current state and progress to regional senior leaders in conjunction with the Director, Performance Improvement Office.

Selection of projects reporting to regional Improvement Council.

Manages program for annual ROI capture, validation and approval.

Advancing the PIO across the system.

Sharing best practices across regions to drive performance extra-regionally.

Leading select improvement projects.

Serve in a project management role for key performance improvement efforts.

Act as a change agent & systematically drive and implement change throughout the region.

Develop and implement key metrics to measure process performance and opportunity.

Apply rigorous analytical skills and persuasive leadership skills to improvement efforts.

Influence and communicate with all levels of management.

Coach/develop/manage NM improvement teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in operations, management and process improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Allied Health Profession or a Master’s degree in a healthcare related field

Proven leadership and change management skills.

Collaborative and approachable.

Proven project-based analytical skills (e.g., database manipulations and statistical analysis).

Seasoned project management, facilitation, and analytical skills.
-
High level of energy and enthusiasm.

Ability to work with diverse group of healthcare professionals in a matrix environment.

Effective problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong knowledge and proven expertise in the application of process improvement and project management methods including Six Sigma, Lean and/or others.
Preferred:
- MBA/MHA or another relevant advanced degree.

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or other evidence of advanced commitment to profession.

Familiarity with major sources of measures, literature, and quality- and patient-safety-related federal and state policy.

Experience with clinical outcomes, safety, and patient satisfaction data
