The Vice President of Partnership Management is a new strategic role that focuses on the development and management of relationships with key partners/clients to enhance business growth, service offerings/solutions and client satisfaction through collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships. The Vice President of Partnership Management spearheads the development of comprehensive strategies aimed at increasing revenue streams derived from existing clients/partners as well as new partners/clients within the realm of course material acquisition initiatives. This involves meticulous analysis of market trends, partner needs, and institutional goals to formulate tailored approaches.
The Vice President of Partnership Management develops initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and manages and augments strategic relationships across all echelons of the organization. This multifaceted role entails fostering robust connections with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and delivering value-added solutions that drive sustained growth and success.
Responsibilities relative to Publisher Partners Management:
- Increase/Develop revenue streams.
- Manage and enhance existing partnerships, fostering collaborative relationships to drive mutual success.
- Scout and secure new partnerships, negotiating terms that align with the company’s strategic objectives and drive mutual benefits for both parties.
- Facilitate communication, provide strategic guidance, and drive successful collaboration between partners and the Company.
- Develop an understanding of partner goals and keep abreast of changes in each partner’s situation. Communicate these goals and changes to the Company.
- Provide strategic direction on creative content provided to publishers.
Responsibilities relative to Client Account Management:
- Conduct quarterly/annual meetings with clients including providing key metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define appropriate, cost-effective cross-sell and upsell targets within client accounts.
- Lead clients to understand cross-sell and upsell options and actively champion those likely to improve client situations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to seek new information and define new solutions that will improve client success.
- Lead discussions and develop innovative plans to overcome obstacles for internal teams and clients.
- Initiate project start-up and problem-solving meetings, ensuring team understanding and enthusiasm to successfully execute client programs.
- Document partner and team feedback and provide written feedback to team members as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field minimum – MBA a plus
- Demonstrated sales and quota achievement
- 10-15 years’ experience in strategic leadership positions and client facing positions
- Previous experience in higher education publishing or relevant marketing and partner management
- Proven ability to align strategic insights and solutions to partner goals
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skill
- Travel Required
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $140,000
Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
Commissions based on new sales.
Bonus related to retainment of current accounts
