Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department and manage food service operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with dietary regulations, maintain high standards of food safety, and lead a team in providing exceptional culinary services.
Duties:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities in healthcare facilities
- Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional needs and dietary restrictions
- Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and serving
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage
- Manage inventory, budgeting, and ordering of food supplies
- Train and mentor dietary staff on proper procedures and techniques
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) required
- Previous experience in food management, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Proficiency in kitchen operations including cooking techniques
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
