Administrative Professional - Property and Casualty Insurance - Hybrid
Overview:
As a member of the legal department, we are seeking a bright, motivated and detail-oriented paralegal or experienced administrative professional to work closely with legal staff on regulatory and corporate legal matters. The successful applicant will be a college graduate with an excellent academic record, superior analytical and organization skills, strong writing skills, an attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal and communications skills responsive to time sensitive requests, and demonstrated good judgment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work independently under supervision of General Counsel or her staff on law-related activities.
- Draft and review legal agreements, documents and corporate resolutions.
- Legal and regulatory research
- Legal due diligence
- Coordination and preparation of Regulatory filings
- Creation of and Maintenance of SharePoint and related databases for legal department needs
- Implement, prepare, track and maintain processes in corporate governance, legal entity management, and insurance regulatory filings with state and other regulators.
- Maintain repository for corporate transactions, legal entity management, and regulatory filings.
- Prepare director, officer and shareholder materials.
- Support regulatory audits and market conduct examinations including interface with other business units.
- Assist other teams or areas of the company on an as needed basis.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Four-year college bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with paralegal certification (or equivalent work experience).
- Two or more years of working in a law firm, government, and/or in-house law department, preferably with experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, challenging business environment with the ability to work independently on multiple projects and prioritizing assignments as necessary while maintaining a strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interface professionally with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in technology tools and software, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lexis, NILS and SharePoint.
