Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Therapist (Licensed or Master's Level, Unlicensed), preferably bilingual, to join our Integrated Care team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working on a multidisciplinary team, who values teamwork and relationship-building, is proactive and engaged in their work, open to feedback and flexible in their clinical approach, and has experience and training in evidenced-based approaches, as well as a demonstrated dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, along with strong administrative, organization and time management skills.
Shift. This position is fully onsite/in-person working Monday–Friday during the clinic hours; schedule can be adjusted to 4x10-hour days if working 12-month schedule versus 10-month schedule. Candidates have a choice to work a 10-month or 12-month schedule (see below).

The 10-month schedule is during the school year, and salary is paid over 12 months. You will receive paid time off during all school breaks (fall, winter, spring, and summer – including the whole month of July off!) but will not be eligible for vacation time.

The 12-month schedule will have a slightly higher salary and will accrue vacation time.
About the team.
The Integrated Care team is comprised of behavioral health providers who deliver behavioral health services to students and their families in the Aurora Public Schools (APS) School-Based Health Clinics (SBHCs). These integrated health clinics are located on APS school campuses and are in partnership with APS, as well as our medical and dental provider partners.
About the role.
Integrated Care Therapists provide screenings, brief assessments (including brief ADHD assessments), brief intervention, ongoing psychotherapy, family therapy, case management, and crisis support to APS students and their siblings, as well as consultation and education to medical providers in the integrated clinic.
Essential Functions:

Conduct brief assessments, as well as individual, family and/or group therapy with assigned clients

Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care

Provide clinical case-management services as needed. Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.

Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life

Assist clients to evaluate strengths and symptoms, and to set their own goals
-
Guide and instruct clients in coping skills

Offer consultation to community partners and providers

Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases

Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers

Adhere to Code of Conduct, core values, policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance plan

Effectively interact and communicate with other staff, clients, customers and partners to build relationships and address and resolve issues

Requirements:

Unlicensed Therapist: Master's degree in counseling and License eligible as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). At least one year of clinical experience preferred in diagnosing, completing intake assessments, and individual, family or group therapy.

Unlicensed Psychologist: Doctorate degree in psychology and License eligible as Psychologist (PhD, PsyD). At least one year of relevant experience providing clinical care to appropriate client population, including conducting individual, family and/or group therapy.

Licensed Therapist and Psychologist: at least two years' clinical experience providing care, including conducting individual, family and/or group therapy. Professional licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD).

Knowledge of theories and evidence-based practices related to clinical treatment

Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record with proficiency

Solid understanding of mental illness and treatment modalities within multidisciplinary approach

Required Vaccinations and TB Test.

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
- Will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis for all hours worked (excluding non-productive hours paid but not worked; e.g., paid time off, holiday, administrative, etc.) in an amount equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), to a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. *The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full time equivalency (FTE).
