ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Direct and supervise patient care in the operating room ensuring proper practices and techniques are used. Monitors standards of care to ensure excellent care is provided.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Confirm room, supplies and equipment are prepared for procedure.
Ensure Sterile and safe environment by maintaining aseptic techniques.
Attend and assist surgeon as necessary in the operative procedure.
Perform appropriate treatment directed by the surgeon in an accurate and timely manner.
Instrumental in developing the nursing interventions and individualized care plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Conduct ongoing assessment of patient’s condition by observing current conditions and reactions, noting abnormalities and reporting them immediately to the physician.
Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Develop patient/family post-operative instruction based on the patient’s individualized needs of the patient and as directed by the surgeon.
Ensure discharge planning is commenced at the point of admission in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.
Protect confidentiality surrounding patient admission and treatment at all times.
Assist in administrative duties including documenting, maintaining records and collecting data for statistics.
Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Associates degree in nursing from an accredited college or university, Bachelors of nursing preferred.
Current State of Colorado Nursing license in good standing
Current BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire
Two (2) years nursing experience with one (1) year nursing experience in a perioperative setting preferred.

WAGE RANGE: $37.00 - $ 54.34
