Job Title: Assistant Director of Operations Immediate
Supervisor: Exe Director Safety & Ops
Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 Contract Length: 230 Days
Job Description:
Provides assistance to the Executive Director. Plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of student transportation, maintenance, operations, food service, and extracurricular. Coordinates assigned activities with Campus Directors and all stakeholders. Promotes the district's mission and vision.
Illustrative Duties:
- Assists in developing long and short-range maintenance plans/programs (e.g., emergency response plans, energy management plans, etc.) to ensure that the district resources are effectively utilized.
- Assists with inspections of new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, daily maintenance, and supplies to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and that specifications for capital improvements are within local/state/federal regulation.
- Assists with the compilation and maintenance of required files.
- Assists with compilation of budgets and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls, as needed.
- Maintains safety standards and develops a program of preventive safety.
- Cooperates with Campus Directors and other stakeholders to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all.
- Develop and administer a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily instructional program
Prepares bus routes for all campuses.
- Attends appropriate committee and staff meetings.
- Develop plans for preventive maintenance.
- Takes an active role in solving disciplinary problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal communication skills
- Acts as liaison with stakeholders for complaints and special requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in an elementary or middle school preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in school administration, business, public administration, or other related field.
- Master’s degree (preferred) in school administration, business, public administration, or other related field.
- One year of work experience is equivalent to one year of college Other Requirements: requirements.
- Maintains good attendance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all stakeholders
