Job Overview
The Utilities Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to civil utilities infrastructure and excavation such as water supply, wastewater management, stormwater drainage, gas pipelines, excavation, dirt work, and similar systems on private and government projects. The role involves coordinating all aspects of a project from initiation to completion, ensuring all work is finished on time, within budget and according to specifications.
Semi-annual bonus is discretionary
7+ years experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Must be familiar with underground utility project management, and preferably speak both English and Spanish
- Supervise and manage utility construction projects from hand-off to finish
- Work collaboratively with estimator
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
- Manage material and subcontractor submittal approvals
- Manage schedules, project budgets, including tracking expenses and approving invoices
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications
- Allocate and manage resources efficiently including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for projects
- Attend precon and weekly project meetings
- Plan, schedule and coordinate projects with office personnel, field personnel, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members
- Oversee the quality control process to ensure work meets industry standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Collaborate with various stakeholders such as government agencies, utility companies, environmental groups, and the local community to ensure a harmonious project execution

Pay: $83,200.00 - $115,000.00 per year
