Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment at an Outpatient facility associated with a Level II Trauma Center.
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure proper scheduling of procedures and consultations
- Manage patient records and update information as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details and instructions
- Utilize electronic scheduling systems to maintain up-to-date information
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience working in an Outpatient or hospital setting, preferably in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Knowledge of vital signs, medication administration, and anatomy
- Familiarity with coding practices in healthcare
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
