Electrical Engineering Technician
Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Position Summary
The Electrical Technician work with the electrical engineering team to debug and test circuit boards, battery packs, fuel cell systems and other electrical assemblies. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a thorough knowledge of electronics and testing equipment, along with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment. The Electrical Technician must be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced engineering environment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

Debug and test circuit board assemblies

Debug and test electrical circuits and systems

Setup and operate electrical test equipment

Create and debug wire harnesses

Work with high voltage circuitry up to 1500V

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Plug Power products

Help to train new team members in various repair, rework, diagnostic, and testing processes

Contribute to 5S efforts and support all standards of organization, safety and cleanliness in the department

Analyze data and prepare reports as needed in the course of work

Adhere to safety standards at all times; this includes all OSHA regulations and facility safety policies

Perform other duties as assigned

Some travel required
Education and Experience
-
Minimum 2-year associates degree in electrical field or equivalent experience

At least five (5) years of experience in an electrical technician role; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred

High voltage experience preferred

Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel software programs
