Job Title: Facility Maintenance Manager
Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all buildings, equipment, and systems. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure the functionality, safety, and appearance of the facilities. The role requires managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating with external contractors, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all facilities.
- Schedule regular maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure staff adhere to safety standards and protocols.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.
- Monitor and control maintenance expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Facility Operations:
- Ensure all systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are operational and well-maintained.
- Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Contractor and Vendor Management:
- Source and manage relationships with external contractors and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure work is completed to standard and on time.
- Verify and approve invoices for maintenance work.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, costs, and issues.
- Track and analyze maintenance performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving facility operations and maintenance processes.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
