Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing ongoing maintenance and completing repairs on occupied and vacant rental homes. Depending on seniority and experience, day-to-day duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single-family homes, including units, common areas, and amenities
- Complete thorough inspections of buildings, units, and homes
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Ensures heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are operational. May perform HVAC tune-up, replace fan motors, and capacitors.
- Fixing potential safety hazards.
- Lock changes and / or “handyman” fixes
- Applying preventive measures to buildings to reduce the risk of future problems.
Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, stooping, squatting etc. Lifting and carrying of bulky or heavy items may be required.
Other Requirements:
- Must have own basic maintenance tools.
- A clean and valid driver’s license is required.
- This position requires flexibility to serve in the on-call maintenance rotation providing evening, weekend, and holiday emergency service alongside teammates.
