This will be a monday-friday Hybrid role. Our on site location is Midtown Manhattan.
Your Impact - The Authorization Specialist will work with an assigned clinic case load, interacting with Clinical Directors, Care Coordinators, and Therapists daily. The Authorization Specialist serves as a valued member of the SPEAR team, helping patients to secure approved sessions to utilize for their Therapy treatment.

- Practice detailed account documentation and efficient workflows
- Submit authorizations and update accounts in a timely manner, ensuring time sensitive deadlines are made.
- Maintaining an organized Dashboard within our EMR
- Respond and work tasks with in 48 hrs of reciept
- Support of teammates when on PTO
Empathy & Service: You exhibit 5-star customer service for all SPEAR patients through empathy. You respond efficiently and accordingly because you understand their feelings and needs.
- Respond to messages and or emails within 2 hours of receipt.
- Practice respectful, consistent, and detailed communication with the AUTH team, Clinic staff and HQ co-workers.
Accountability: You are a champion of customer access, accountable for ensuring our financial process never keeps a single New Yorker from getting back to life. You are committed to our patients, and their physicians, by navigating through the financial processes in healthcare to get them the therapist and the treatment they need.
a. Ensure a claim delay, follow-up Dashboards, and Authorization Dashboards are worked daily
b. Ensure Claim Delay is at or below 3% across your entire clinic case load.
c. Ensure Write-off adjustments are at or below 3% across your entire clinic case load.
d. Ensure submission are sent with in 48hrs of date of service
e. Update account with approval data with in 48hr of receipt
f. Ability to work independently
g. As a Hybrid worker your connection to wifi and the internet is critical having stable and high-speed internet is required
