The Regional Manager is responsible for leading a team of General Managers and their respective home service operations to achieve business results and goals. This individual is responsible for the General Manager’s professional development, the achievement of performance objectives and the development and execution of branch strategic position. This position oversees the decisions that impact the performance and strategic position of AHHS branches in their territory. The RM works alongside the GM, their leadership team and the operation to ensure the delivery of an unmatched customer experience, installation of systems and process to produce quality of work, and regional support to ensure brand protection. This position will work to create a world-class service. The RM will work with the Regional VP of Field Operations, the rest of the leadership team and the retail stores to maximize performance and advance the Ace Hardware Home Services mission.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and develop General Managers of the Branches on their team.
- Identifies employee needs for growth and work with recruiting team to fill.
- Conducts regular staff meetings and 1:1’s with direct reports
- Supports the execution of Ace Home Service Leadership initiatives and objectives at the branch level
- Serves as the branch’s ambassador, providing a conduit and communication between branch leadership and AHHS leadership
- Identifies ways to build the business and grow in the services industry.
- Tracks and reports against benchmarks to meet or exceed system and company targets.
- Identifies, creates, and implements new processes and procedures for the company to increase productivity and monitoring.
- Creates and maintains relationships with area Ace Hardware retailers in area. Develop and execute sales call cycle / plans with assigned retailers to meet the needs of each strategic plan established for his / her retailers.
- Partners with training team to facilitate training sessions to ensure consistent and quality customer experiences.
- Work with other members of the management team (Regional Sales Managers, Regional HR Managers, Regional Controllers, etc.) to drive the businesses.
- Reviews staffing/payroll and other controllable expenses and takes action when something does not meet company standards; actively looks for new ways to improve staffing productivity and ways to reduce expenses.
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting, terminating, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching and developing associates.
- Reviewing business efficiencies and communication with GMs.
- Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders and consistently follow up on deliverables.
- Align with Ace’s values, mission and vision of being helpful in all aspects of your role with internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in a management position, preferably within the industry
- Communicates clearly and concisely with customers, team and leadership; keeps others informed and takes appropriate partnerships where necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to display financial acumen and react to trends and seasonal changes.
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage time
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, analyze and utilize reports
- Ability to use computer systems to input, access, modify or output information or to execute programs or analyses
- Ability to train, develop, motivate, and lead in a manner that fosters a work environment that promotes our culture.
This position is remote, preferably located in Texas or Georgia but open to the right candidate.
