Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Start Lead Teacher that enjoys working collaboratively with children, parents and the community.
To enhance our children by developing their social skills that includes language and literacy, math, science and social studies and art. The ideal candidate should pose, a passion for fostering a positive learning environment that ensures the academic success and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities:
- Work Cooperatively with the Teacher Assistant, Center/ Curriculum Director, Parents , Family Partner , LEA for Gwinnett County and Community Partner.
- Follow High Scope Curriculum as a guide to ensure lesson plans that are developed for children individual growth and educational milestones that includes, instructional strategies weekly.
- Provide leadership in working as a team that creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for the children that we serve.
- Collaborate with Parents, Center/ Curriculum Director , Center Staff and Community stakeholders to ensures that each child individual abilities and skills are met that are supportive of children gaining and maintaining any services needed.
- Serve as a Model for all children, parents, and community person.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education; Certified T-4 or Master Degree/ Certified; T-5 strongly recommended.
- Previous experience working with students in an Preschool educational setting.
- Strong background in early childhood education, literacy education, and special education
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and child welfare practice.
- Ability to use correct grammar, verbally and written to effectively with adults as well as young children.
-Ability to plan, organized and conduct a comprehensive classroom activities.
- Ability to promote a positive classroom and school climate and student achievement
-Ability to read , comprehend and understand the English language.
