Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join the Enders & Company team. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for taking part in and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final completion. The ideal candidate will have a passion for carpentry, excellent leadership skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute construction projects.
- Coordinate project timelines and schedules to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as demolition, advanced framing, window and door installation, sheetrock installation, site preparation for other trades, cabinetry, trim work, and finishing.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters to develop their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in residential carpentry. Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques including, but not limited to, advanced framing, exterior and interior construction, best practices in the industry, window and door installation, larger equipment operation.
- Strong understanding of building components including, but not limited to, headers, shear walls, fasteners, hangers, and methods of installation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and able to solve jobsite challenges as they arise.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
