Summary
Responsible for fitting and welding of idlers. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment is
required. Must be able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Must currently
possess or be able to attain AWS-required welding certification within the first 6 months of employment.
This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and delivery of a quality product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Extensive use of welders and machinery associated with the assigned job task.
- Establish good communications and working rapport with supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered.
- Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
- Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
- Lift 75 pounds.
- Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by the company.
- Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
- Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company.
- Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
- Regular, consistent attendance is a requirement. Overtime as required by the company.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high
precarious places, and in extreme heat and cold. The employee must stand for long periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability
to adjust focus.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
Training, Certifications, Licenses
Valid State Drivers License. Welding certification required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete company forklift
certification. Background, DMV and drug and alcohol screening may be conducted as a condition of employment and
continued employment.
