BAR / RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER WANTED FOR
INDOOR GOLF & ENTERTAINMENT FACILITY
Job Description:
X-Golf Commack is looking for a part-time assistant manager, with food and beverage experience. X-Golf offers state of the art golf simulators as well as a bar and entertainment space.
Our facility features nine state of the art golf simulation bays, a full bar, quick service food, dedicated conference room space, private bays, as well as a retail operation.
The Details:
POSITION TYPE: PART-TIME to FULL TIME
START DATE: July 1, 2024; hours will increase in Fall / Winter Season
DESCRIPTION: Operation of the facility in coordination with the managers and owner of the facility, oversight of the check in / check out process, simulator maintenance, coordination with kitchen and bar operations. Certain shifts will be primary manager on site.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Management of store and employees while on site, including, but not limited to, staff oversight and shift dismissal and food and beverage inventory.
- Working shifts, meaning that this person is expected to perform all duties required while at the facility per the schedule, including food/beverage preparation, service, maintenance, or other operational needs.
- Coordinate with X-Golf Commack’s social media management, regularly posting on social media.
- Will include opening, mid-day and closing shifts, depending on the needs of the business.
- Golf Operations Include:
- Check-in / Check-out of customers
- Setting up customers on simulators and provide demonstration speech
- Learns how to respond to basic simulator maintenance issues and repair in a timely matter while keeping customers satisfied.
- Tip Reporting as required for sales, in coordination with Owner and General Manager.
COMPENSATION:
- Hourly wage commensurate on experience.
- Tip eligible on certain shifts when no other bartenders/servers on duty
- Bonuses eligible - merit based and discretionary.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three years of management experience.
- Bartending experience.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, fun and energetic sports bar and entertainment facility.
- Basic knowledge of golf is helpful but not required
- Proven record of providing superior member/guest service and staff training and development.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- High School Graduation or Equivalent
- TIPS or ATAP Certification
- Suffolk County Food Managers License

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
