Primary Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Mercy High Way, a private Christian high school committed to providing quality education and support for students with disabilities. The Administrative Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of the school, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating a nurturing and inclusive environment for students, staff, and families.
Status: Non-Exempt Full-Time, (Hourly) 40 hours/week

Competencies
1. Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Dean of Student Affairs, faculty, and staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining student records, including enrollment, tuition payments, attendance, and academic progress reports.
- Coordinate communication between parents, teachers, and support staff regarding student needs and progress
- Along with the Dean of Student Affairs, ensure compliance with Florida Department of Education, facility inspections, safety needs, scholarship requirements and other administrative needs
2. Student Services Coordination:
- Collaborate with the faculty and support staff to ensure the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Facilitate meetings with parents, teachers, and outside agencies to develop and review IEPs and support plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling student information and family communications.
3. Resource Management:
- Manage inventory and procurement of supplies and materials needed for classroom instruction and student support services.
- Assist in coordinating transportation services for students with disabilities as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation to and from school and related activities.
4. Event Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in planning and coordinating school events, such as open houses, parent-teacher conferences, student assemblies, and special programs.
- Coordinate logistics for field trips, extracurricular activities, and other special events, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all students.
5. Community Engagement:
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources, including local churches, support organizations, and government agencies.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities and community service initiatives for students, promoting a culture of service and inclusion.

Educational and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, social work, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices for serving students with disabilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with students, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Mercy High Way and the Christian faith.
