Steinway Piano Gallery is looking to add to our retail sales team. We're looking for those who possess the desire, passion, and experience to join our organization selling the world's finest pianos in our showroom in The English Village in Mountain Brook, AL. This is a full time professional sales position that will require working Saturdays and four other days during the week. You'll have Sunday and one other weekday off.
The right candidate has a passion for luxury and love of music and arts. A proven track record in a competitive sales environment combined with past experience in business development and lead generating activities is key. In addition, the candidate must have an outgoing and engaging personality in order to build relationships with clients on many different levels. The ability to play the piano is preferred, but not required.
This job's earning potential is tied to sales. This sales can be over $100,000. This should not be intimidating to the person looking to work here. This position offers excellent earnings potential for someone that is patient and has the ability to learn and work hard.
Responsibilities
- Present, promote and sell the Family of Steinway Designed Pianos and other brands.
- Work with piano teachers, designers, and other centers of influence to develop piano prospects
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
- Professional dress and appearance required
- Continuously improve through feedback
Skills
- Proven work experience as a sales representative for more than 5 years
- Previous work in the luxury market/goods/services more than 5 years
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Background in music and or piano is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
