Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge with Circuits and Electrical Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoots cyclotrons and associated equipment for optimal operation.
- Undertakes specialized maintenance and repairs with general instructions.
- Executes scheduled start-ups and shutdowns of cyclotrons.
- Manages loading, installation, and transportation of targets.
- Operates and monitors cyclotrons and support systems during target irradiation.
- Monitors cyclotrons during standby periods.
- Coordinates daily production activities with the Cyclotron Chemistry department.
- Adheres to radiation exposure guidelines and protocols.
- Maintains records of cyclotron performance, operations data, maintenance, and repair work.
- Undertakes additional duties and projects as assigned by shift coordinator or department leadership.
- Ensures compliance with relevant US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP).
Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in manufacturing required (regulated environment, attention to detail, and following detailed instructions).
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the following: solid state and vacuum tube based electronics, analog and digital circuits, logic circuits/PLCs, high power RF systems (high HF through low VHF ranges), high voltage DC power equipment, electro-mechanical systems, and vacuum systems (mechanical, cryogenic, and/or diffusion pumps) is preferred.
- Ability to perform large scale troubleshooting with system components spread across multiple areas, and the ability to perform circuit board repair and basic soldering.
