Summary:
The Nurse Informaticist provides Nursing leadership to support the ongoing development and implementation of an enterprise-wide, integrated electronic health record (EHR) that supports the delivery of quality patient care across all the communities that Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) serves. The Nurse Informaticist works closely with the CMIO as a liaison between clinicians and information systems (IS) and will take a lead role in developing requirements for and implementing clinical technologies. The Nurse Informaticist will provide strategic guidance to the organizations senior leadership regarding the maturation of the integrated EHR and the related technologies that support quality and safety initiatives improve patient and family satisfaction and increase the efficiency in the delivery of care and optimize clinician work flow. The Nurse Informaticist acts as an educational and clinical consultant to individuals and groups internal and external to the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing-required; Master’s degree preferred.

Some knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
