POSITION SUMMARY
The Body Shop Production Supervisor: Looking for an individual to work within a family owned and operated small business with 52 years of history in the local area.
- Works closely with the Office Manager and Body Shop Repair team to be an open line of communication between office and body shop repair team to ensure smooth and efficient intake and production of body shop repairs through final delivery to client.
- Uses his or her general knowledge of automotive systems and his or her experience to accurately interpret body shop estimates and the cost of repairs in establishing credibility and rapport with customers.
- Accurately understand and interprets body shop operations and procedures.
· Ability to accurately document supplemental damage and assist repair team to identify supplemental parts and damage once vehicle is under repair.
· Maintain open lines of communication with Office Manager on documentation and ordering of parts.
· Ability to maintain quality control on Body Shop repairs
· Ability to stay ahead of part receipts and needs of repair team
- Establishes rapport with dealerships and parts vendors to obtain efficient ordering and delivery practices
- Oversees the work of the Body Shop team members and always strives to increase the volume of work by developing the shop's reputation for excellence and quality
MANAGEMENT/BUSINESS SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to meet and greet customers and to establish rapport and intake of customer vehicles.
- Knowledge of the preparation, processing, and interpretation of repair orders
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques (manufacturing, paint finishes)
- Knowledge of new models and product improvements based on technical services bulletins, etc.
- Knowledge of federal, and local regulations pertaining to hazardous waste, emissions, and team members' health and safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
