```Duties```
- Assist optometrist with patient care, including taking medical histories and performing preliminary tests
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Perform visual acuity and color vision testing
- Administer eye drops and other medications as directed by the optometrist
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Enter patient information and test results into electronic medical records system

- Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
